Den øverste ansvarlige for litteraturoversettelse i Egypt mener det er greit å oversette bøker fra hebraisk til arabisk hvis den israelske forfatteren ikke får noen økonomisk kompensasjon. Et slikt åndsverk-tyveri er nødvendig «for å bli kjent med fienden, for å forstå hans styrke og svakhet», slik at egypterne kan vite «hvordan han tenker og hva han pønsker på».
